New York Community College Trustees


The New York Community College Trustees (NYCCT) is a voluntary nonprofit consortium of community college trustees established to strengthen the effectiveness of NY community college trustees as an active force in the development and implementation of public policy impacting community colleges.


NYCCT represents the appointed board members who govern the 30 community colleges in the State University of New York (SUNY) system and NYCCT proudly includes members from the City University of New York (CUNY), which has 7 community colleges.

Mission


The New York Community Trustees is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting and strengthening the Community Colleges of New York State by investing in the trustees of community colleges through education, advocacy and communication. NY Community Colleges ensure open access to high quality postsecondary education and contribute significantly to the development of an educated citizenry and skilled workforce. They offer comprehensive learning opportunities ranging from transfer and career degrees to innovative and customized programs that serve specific individual, community, business, and economic development needs. All share a dedication to instruction and services that nurture the academic and personal achievement of individuals with diverse backgrounds and aspirations.
